Eagle Point Boy Scout Troop 48

If you're looking for a Boy Scout Troop that emphasizes fun and adventure, Eagle Point Troop 48 is for you!

Troop 48 is Eagle Point Oregon's longest running troop and has a proven history of providing an excellent scouting program resulting in many scouts obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Troop 48's youth have been part of our community since 1952, with a strong parent volunteer base and an emphasis on service. For over 50 years our focus has been on leadership, outdoor skills, values, and citizenship, but most of all... THE SCOUTS HAVE FUN!

Troop 48 is a boy run Troop. Youth leaders plan and execute their own program under the guidance of the Scoutmaster with
parent’s participation and support. New scouts begin with small jobs under the guidance of more experienced scouts. As their skills and knowledge improve new responsibilities are given to them.

Troop 48 features a traditional Boy Scout experience, with strong patrols, monthly outings, and community service projects. Reguarly scheduled troop meetings are held Thursday evenings, 6:30 – 8:00pm. Patrol Leaders meet monthly and hold a planning meeting under the leadership of the Senior Patrol Leader. The boys pick the camping trips and outings the troop will be taking. A parent committee meeting is held monthly in support of the boys.

Past events include:

National Jamboree, Philmont, summer camps, 50 mile backpacking trek through the Yosemite National Park backcountry, Klondike derby, canoe trip, Camporee, and the Oregon Coast family camp.

Troop 48 offers young people:
